Blockades, burning of vehicles and attacks with explosives continue in the Mexican state of Michoacán.

Members of the Mexican Army and the National Guard deployed an operation in the Tierra Caliente region in response to the violent acts.

The municipality of Buenavista, in Michoacán, woke up this Tuesday with a series of violent events in which burning of vehicles, roadblocks and attacks with explosives were reported, with no arrests so far.

Preliminary reports indicate that the Municipal Police headquarters was attacked on at least three occasions. Quadratin reports indicate that a group of armed individuals threw explosives at the police center with the help of drones.

At the same time, blockades were reported at various points in the community of Santa Ana Amatlán. It was indicated that hooded men intercepted vehicles traveling on the highway that connects with the municipality of Apatzingán and forced drivers to get out of their vehicles.

Cargo trucks and transport units were used to block the stretch of road and prevent the passage of authorities. Images and videos of the burning vehicles that emanated a thick curtain of smoke were spread on social networks.

The Human Security Observatory of Apatzingán confirmed the events on its X account and notified the security authorities about the burning of vehicles. “We urge people to stay in their homes for safety,” they said.

In the municipality of Apatzingán, at the height of the San Juan de los Plátanos bridge, a burned truck was located that was used to block the road.

Although a security operation was deployed in the area by local authorities and the National Guard, there are no records of fatalities or people arrested.

And as is customary in Michoacan, the identity of the subjects who participated in these criminal acts is unknown.
