Since the entry into force of the Foreign Vehicle Regularization Program, 84 thousand 213 units have been approved and validated in Michoacán, of which 20 thousand 320 correspond to the year 2023, which is beneficial because these are cars that already have an identity and are registered in the official register.

According to a press release, the Undersecretary of Revenue of the Ministry of Finance and Administration (SFA) of the Government of Michoacán, Salvador Juárez Álvarez, reported the above, explaining that it is a federal program, headed by the Public Vehicular Registry (REPUVE), which is the body responsible for verifying the documents and the automotive units, in order to grant the regularization. The state agency, meanwhile, “provides the plates and the hologram,” he completed.

He mentioned that the requirements consist of requesting an appointment through the platform https://www.regularizaauto.sspc.gob.mx/, presenting an original title deed, a protest manifesto to tell the truth, a payment of 2,500 pesos to the Tax Administration Service (SAT), proof of address not older than two months, Unique Population Registry Code (CURP) and printed photograph of the Vehicle Identification Number (NIV).

Juárez Álvarez announced that 12 REPUVE modules currently operate in Michoacán: the fairgrounds and the Ministry of Communications and Public Works (SCOP), both established in Morelia; as well as in the municipalities of Coahuayana, Lázaro Cárdenas, Apatzingán, Uruapan, Huetamo, Sahuayo, Zacapu, La Piedad, Maravatío and Zitácuaro. The opening hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., except in the fairgrounds, which closes at 5:00 p.m., he concluded.
