Children’s Bodies Found at Michoacán Hotel Identified

Two young children, identified as Jorge and Daniela, aged 12 and 10, respectively, were found dead inside a hotel room in the Torremolinos neighborhood of Michoacán. According to authorities, the children had been staying with their mother at the hotel since June 13.

The Michoacán State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) confirmed that the bodies had been identified and claimed by their families. Preliminary autopsy results indicate that the cause of death was mechanical asphyxiation due to airway obstruction, specifically a blockage in the mouth and nose.

Hotel staff discovered the bodies on June 17 after being notified by emergency services. The mother of the children was subsequently found in another part of the city, where she had attempted to take her own life by cutting her wrists while under the influence of medication.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic events that unfolded at the hotel.
